I am Susan Hanniford Crowley. I am a science fiction and fantasy writer and an active member in the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA). I've written for anthologies and the magazine edited by Marion Zimmer Bradley. My novella "Ladyknight" was published in her SPELLS OF WONDER. The character of Ladyknight is seen again in "Piper" which appeared in SWORD AND SORCERESS IX. In SWORD AND SORCERESS XV, my story "Cecropia", a mystical tale of Ireland, appear. My story, "Heartleaf", a tragic Arthurian tale, appeared in MARION ZIMMER BRADLEY'S FANTASY MAGAZINE. I am also a poet. RESONANCE, an international literary magazine, published my book of poetry, LAKE WITH NO HORIZON. I was also a contributing editor, writing stories, poetry, essays, and reviews. My background in literature is well-rounded. I've been a reporter, reviewer, speech writer, poet, teacher, and in addition a creative writing teacher. I teach practical methods for writing that improve the participant both in their skills and their enjoyment of life. My sf YA story "She Came to Sing" appears in January 2009 BEYOND CENTAURI magazine.

A few months ago I joined the staff of Space and Time Magazine as an Associate Editor. I have finished a paranormal romance and in the process of shopping it. While I dedicate part of my day to submitting the finished novel (full length-95k words), I am rewriting a novel I did previously as a paranormal romance as that's what it was and I didn't realize it. My goal is to finish that before the year is out.
